Default Yakima FarOut Roof Bag Reviews

Yakima Racks jumps into the wildly-popular cartop soft luggage bag arena with the Yakima FarOut and GetOut Pro roof bags. The Far Out is a very intriguing and unique offering. At just 7 cubic feet of cargo carrying capacity, it is somewhat smaller than other bags in this category. However, for one person with a lot of stuff and/or serving the cargo needs for two people, the Far Out shines. Generous padding combined with all-weather materials & reinforced sealed seams keep moisture from penetrating to the gear contents. We installed the Yakima FarOut bag on multiple vehicles including a Toyota Prius with Yakima Racks, Subar WRX with Thule Racks and Honda Pilot, Ford Focus, Chevy Tahoe - all with factory racks (some with cross bars and some with just the siderails) and the bag strapped on quickly and securely every time. The instructions very clearly specified how the product installed on different configurations. We found the integrated back pack straps really did make it a comfortable luggage carrier that we could use for traveling by plane, boat whatever if we wanted to. And for cars that didn't have any kind of roof rack the Far Out also fit into the backseat or trunk of sedans & rear compartment of wagons. This is an extremely versatile cargo carrier for one or two people. We recommend the Yakima GetOut Pro for larger cargo carrying needs such as family vacations.
